MIM#146 Ski Bunny Trevor

Another scheduled post!!! Monday means Party Time at Make It Monday and we would love you to join in. All you need to do is link up a new or old creation and do some commenting on some of the other entries to be in the running for this week's prize from our sponsor.
I've had to do my cards ahead of time so used an image that I stamped and then reduced on the printer to fit in the scene I used for the background ( I found this lovely scene on the net) I've had this stamp for a while and I think it has been used at least once. I suppose because we don't have snow here in Sth. Australia.
Our sponsor this week is All That Scraps and my stamp is available from their shop as a rubber stamp or a digi, so why not check it out.

Here is my card.....

Recipe:
SU Black cardstock
SU Real Red cardstock
Background scene found on the net and I coloured it with Copics and added Kindyglitz to creat snow on roof, trees and ground.I cut out a little cloud shape and used it to mask as I sponged around it to create the sky with SU Ballet Blue inkpad.
Sentiment is from Close to my Heart and is a two part sentiment, I haven't finished the inside yet but it will have the second part of the sentiment which is "It's Your Birthday"
Image is one I already have as a rubber stamp and is called Ski Bunny Trevor and is from the Sugarplums range of CC Designs stamps and is available as a stamp or a digital image
Copic Markers
DS tape roller
Foam Dots

Our sponsor's details are as follows:

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing!  From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!

If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps   atTotally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT   for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug

Bugaboo Stamps are offering a very generous prize of winner's choice of 7 single digis!

Sorry not home to be able to pick any entries to showcase this week.
Thanks for stopping by

MIM#144 School Days with Nicecrane Designs

Hi, I forgot to do my post up for scheduling this morning and it's a public holiday here so have been doing washing etc and generally getting organised for our holiday. Still have to decide what I'm taking and get it packed!!! Hubby decided to pull the bedroom apart and vacuum everything (except my side of the bed where I have all my shoes, LOL. I have to find somewhere more suitable for them and then vacuum it myself)
Anyway I had better get on and publish this as I still have a load of washing to hang out.
Hubby is trying on old clothes and has just waltzed out in some really old large black and red checked dress pants wanting to know if he should take them. I've told him if he does he will have to get his own taxi and somewhere else to stay, LOL.
This week we are being sponsored by the wonderful Ignacio of Nicecrane Designs. I've chosen to use this sweet image of a girl reading.
Onto the card.......

Recipe:
SU Early Espresso cardstock for the cardbase
SU Island Indigo cardstock for the matte
I found all the different embellies on the net free. I enlarged the printed one to make my background and then used Tim Holtz inkpad to lay on some vintage style!
The stack of books were already coloured but I coloured the backpack
Image is from Nicecrane Designs  and is called Reading Girl
Copic Markers
DS tape roller
Foam dots

Ignacio is generously providing a $20 gift voucher to our winner!

Remember, to be in the running to win the prize from our sponsor this week just leave a comment for another entry. Be sure to mention you saw them on Make It Monday. The more entries you comment on the more chances you have of winning!

It's  POTW  time
Okay that brings me on to one of my favourite jobs as a DT Member of Make It Monday and that is to choose an entry from last week. It's always hard to narrow it down but I have fun hopping around checking out different blogs while I'm at it.
So..... this week I'm featuring this sweet card from Jodi at Kaboo Designs   just love the image and fab design of this one!

and also this one from Cathy from Cathys Card Spot  love the cute bird. A fab CAS card.

Okay, your turn to dazzle. Sorry I won't be doing much visiting this week and I will be scheduling posts for the next couple of weeks so will miss doing POTW and commenting while I'm away.

Thanks for stopping by
Hugs,
Sandy

PSC182 - Daddy Reading

The challenge this week at The Perfect Sentiment is to make a card for Father's Day or a Special Man.
My dad passed away quite a few years ago and the relationship wasn't a very good one anyway, so even though mine refers to World's Best Dad, I thought it wouldn't be inappropriate to use this as a birthday card as well.

Well here is my card.....

Recipe:
SU Early Espresso cardstock
SU Marina Mist cardstock
White card from stash
DP is from Authentique

MIM#143 Ahoy with Kenny K

Hello and welcome to my blog. It's been a busy couple of days with posting for DT cards. Love it if you scrolled down and checked out the two previous posts all posted in the last 24 hours and maybe leave me a comment or two so I know you've been.
This week at Make It Monday we are being sponsored by the wonderful Kenny K, Lots of fabulous images to get your mojo going.
I saw this mischievious little pirate and decided to use her. I wanted her to be the main feature on my card so have not put any embellishment on the card apart from the AHOY. I haven't finished the inside panel yet, but will probably put a birthday greeting stamp inside and I have coloured up a little treasure chest ready to use as well (will edit later and add the pic)
Well onto the card..... I made this into a stepper card using a simple cut and fold method I found on the net. I adapted it to make a centre panelled card, but I'm not sure it is very effective like this as you can't really use the other folded areas to embellish. Oh, well creative ideas always come from trial and error.

Recipe:
SU Midnight Muse cardstock
DP is from Kaisercraft
Image is from Kenny K - Li'l Pirate Digi Stamp
Ahoy was diecut with a Create-a-Scene die set

I may be back later with a second pick (have run out of time at present)

Well, I've got to get a move on, I had my DIL drop the kids off to our youngest daughter's house as I'm going up there to go shopping with her and it is closer to our DIL's home so thought it would save some time and meant that I could sit here and get this post done as well.
Looking forward to seeing lots of wonderful creations this week. Last week we had a large number of entries so would love to see lots more this week.

Tonight's post is for Gingerloft Challenges and this fortnight the theme is Sea Critters.  I've used two of Gingerloft Digital Stamps and added a little mermaid (maker unknown) that came on a free CD from a magazine purchase a while back.

Time for you to get creative now and share your wonderful artwork with us. The DT are looking forward to visiting your blog and checking out your fab work.

Hi, a new challenge has begun at 613 Avenue Create and this time around the theme is to create your own challenge from the chart listed below.

Here's my card.....

Front of card... A step fold card

Inside of card....

Studio 18 Rhinestones
Dies - Nestie ~ Labels Twenty-Nine
Punches - Wide Oval
DS tape roller
Kindyglitz Crystaline (on the cake icing for a bit of sparkle)

Well this is the list of things to choose from - it's pretty easy, just use every column and include the number of items listed at the top of each column.

I chose Image, Patterned Paper and Sentiment from Column 1
Die Cut and Paper Punch from Column 2
Stickles (Kindyglitz) from Column 3
Bling from Column 4
Ribbon from Column 5
See, that was so easy to include something from each column in my card.
